Jeff co-founded the Toronto Chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization, now called the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO).
Through his association with EO and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, he created a series of "Lessons from the Edge" seminars, which have been the highest rated sessions at the EO conventions each year. At these seminars, entrepreneurs share their worst mistakes in business and the lessons that they learned. Jeff’s book, Lessons from the Edge, was inspired by the success of these seminars.
As a result of the success of Lessons from the Edge, Jeff was asked to become Profit Magazine’s “Entrepreneur in Residence” and as such contributed a regular column for four years. He continues to write a blog on issues of interest to entrepreneurs.
Jeff has become a sought after public speaker by entrepreneurial groups and business schools. He has spoken in many countries around the world, including Thailand, India, Malaysia, Nepal, the U.S. and Canada.
